Communities In Appreciative Action

Communities In Appreciative Action

"Inspiring Community Action
Through Collaborative Leadership"

When we begin to dream and vision we change our perceptions of what is possible and what can be and begin to act from our innate leadership talent.  When each person focuses on what can be created instead of what is broken, individual as well as group energy shifts.  Doors open to create collaborative community engagement and desired solutions.

If you have a specific workplace, youth group, church, or community project or idea you would like to explore, Debi can create and facilitate a custom appreciative journey tailored to your specific event or collaborative project.  Events can be facilitated at your site as a 2-day event, over as an on-line event tailored to meet your groups needs.

Debi can also facilitate a 4 hour on-site or on-line event connected to a specific theme to inspire and shift perceptions as your group creates innovative and empowering solutions.
Theme Examples:
Gratitude
Forgiveness
Leadership
Abundance
Team Building

The Appreciative Process Assumptions
  • In every society, organization, group or individual, something works
  • What people focus on becomes their reality
  • Reality is created in the moment, and there are multiple realities
  • The act of asking questions of an organization, group, or individual, influences the group or individual in some way
  • People are more confident and comfortable in their journey to the future (unknown) when they carry forward parts of the past (known).
  • If people carry parts of the past forward, those parts should be what is best about the past
  • It is important to value differences
  • The language people use creates their reality

Appreciative Coaching is modeled after the principles of Appreciative Inquiry
which has been used in organizations and businesses
